Food, Drink & Fun
There are tons of activities for the whole family once the running is over - check out some of what's on offer:
Food and Drink

Over the past 30 years, Chris has been wowing diners with his innovative cuisine and incredible personality. In 2016 he was named the Hotel Chef of the Year (over 250 covers) at the prestigious Hotel Cateys and has entertained millions on Saturday Kitchen, Sunday Brunch and Great British Menu. In 2017 he was appointed the UK Ambassador for the Quality Standard Mark Beef and Lamb Scheme and continues to raise a fortune for charitable causes. He also launched his debut cookbook The Ginger Chef ‘Served Up’.

The bar this year will be supported by GX Community Association, with the usual range of beer, wine, the ever-popular Pimms, and soft drinks. We will be using reusable plastic glasses for the first time, with a £1 returnable deposit per glass – better for the environment than single-use! Tea and coffee will also be available from a volunteer-run stall. Special thanks to Jon of the Marquee Company for providing the marquee for the bar and other essentials!
Food and drink stalls can accept card payments.

Live Music

We are excited that we have 4 bands to provide live music at this year's GX Fun Run:
-
Rock Choir: The original award-winning local contemporary choir of some 50 people who will be singing a range of rock and pop songs in their unique style.
-
SJ & the Joggers: A band of musicians who regularly play at Saint James Church. Their set includes lots of running songs! St James is a Gold Sponsor for this year's Fun Run.
-
Well Oiled: Local Rock legends who are currently touring the area. They have something of a growing reputation for being a great covers band. Not to be missed!
- The Fabulous Duck Bros: A tribute to the music of Eric Clapton. Featuring Phil Astles, managing partner of solicitors Kidd Rapinet, who are Gold Sponsors for the event.
Live music starts around 11.15am and runs through to 4pm. Why not come and grab a burger and a beer, chill out and be entertained by local musical talent.
